10,000 kg – 20,000 kg
Overview
The hybrid section SCD strain gauge was developed for use in high capacity weight and force measurement applications in industrial settings. This precise and durable sensor offers high resistance to lateral forces and overloads.
SCD strain gauges are suitable for harsh industrial conditions and are used in:
High capacity vehicle scales
Platform scales
Tank weighing systems
Automatic scales
Process Weighing Applications
With its steel-alloy construction coated with corrosion-resistant paint and the strain gauge area welded with stainless steel, the SCD is protected to IP68 standards, meaning it can be fully submerged in water.
The main problem with truck scales is lateral forces. Elongation of the platform due to thermal expansion at temperature differences between summer and winter, as well as its deformation due to uneven load distribution, lead to measurement errors. In such cases, strain gauges placed perpendicular to the ground can tilt and cause deflections. Thanks to the patented angle compensation technology, the vertical deviation angle is detected by sensors, ensuring high accuracy of measurements.
The SCD digital strain gauge features fault and warning alarms that notify connected devices of its status. This allows the main unit to monitor the normal operation of the sensor and respond to emergency situations.
