Overview
Explanation: These systems are used to measure the flow rate of materials in powder or granular form that can flow according to the principle of free flow.
They are used in systems where belts or flowmeters are not applicable, such as vertical flows.
The free-flowing material is allowed to fall freely onto an inclined plate that is mounted on one or more strain gauges. Strain gauges measure the impact of the flow on the plate. The system measures the instantaneous flow rate or the total quantity passed through it and generates control signals via analog outputs 0-10V or 4-20mA or digital outputs such as relay or RS232-485 outputs.
